Just a reminder

Just a reminder!  The HMQS show started today and runs through Saturday at South Towne Expo Center.

My daughter Holly and I went this morning.  You will be awed! inspired! and overwhelmed with the beautiful quilts.  There are so many categories that surely one will be your favorite.

You will have to make sure you see the Youth Division quilts.  One of my employees,  Deanna,  has a lovely 11-year-old daughter – Abigail.  She entered a quilt that she cut out, pieced, quilted, and bound 100% by herself.  It was our pleasure to be there this morning to hear her name called in the special category of “Under 14″.  She WON THE PRIZE.

We are so proud of her.  Her quilt was small bowties in graduating colors and was titled “Prom Night.”

She has made many small doll size quilts, some of which are for sale in our store, but this one was larger and SO FUN!  Way to go Abigail – we hope you continue and create more award winning quilts in the future.
