Building Beautiful Borders

Patriotic – Table Runner

This Gathering Friends table runner combines simple piecing and blocks on point. Another great addition to your table!

UFO Day

June 7 (Thurs) All Day

Is your sewing room getting over crowded with all those un-finished projects (i.e. UFOs)? Come sew among friends and work to reduce your UFO list!

Harmonic Convergence Quilt

June 9 (Sat) 1—5 PM

Skill Level: Intermediate

Cost: $25 plus pattern

This quilt, developed by Ricky Tims, is mysterious, magical, easy and fun! The project requires only four squares of fabric and the creative possibilities are endless!

Beautiful Borders

Come learn to apply beautiful borders to your quilts in our class on June 2.  You can take a panel, as was done here, and make it into a fabulous looking larger quilt by adding a few simple borders.  

This class is not for absolute beginners, but whether you have just a little quilting experience, or a lot, this class will take your designs to the next level.

This Gathering Friends table runner used three fabrics to create a fun table runner. You will learn how to make flying geese and square-in-a-square blocks on this project.

Paper Piecing

Paper piecing is a great way to accomplish precision sewing; precise, sharp points and perfectly matched intersections. This is a great class for those wanting to learn paper piecing or advance their skills!

Flirty Skirty Apron

Skill Level: Beginner/Intermediate

Spring is here and there is nothing more fun for Easter morning or Mothers Day than a fresh new apron. Come and make one for yourself or make for a friend. This simple but adorable pattern is as fun for a beginner as it is for the experienced sewer. This apron can be completed in class time and will be admired by all.

 Momma’s Little Helper Kitchen Set
Instructor:  Becky Jorgensen
Skill Level:  Intermediate
Cost:  $18 plus pattern and fabric
Being a little helper is more fun when you are all prepared!  This set is quick and easy to sew-up for daughters or granddaughters.
 
Becky is fun, energetic and has great sewing skills.  Sure to be a fun class.
 
Wed. April 25th   6-9 pm
X-Block quilt
Instructor:  Sundee Peterson
Skill level:  Beginner
Cost:  $15 plus book and Template
The X-Block rotary cutting template will transform strips or easy to piece blocks into spectacular quilts that look complex, but are unbelievably quick and easy.
 
Sundee is also lots of fun, skilled in quilt making.  Her classes fill up fast.
 
Fri. April 27th    5-8:30pm
Spiral Table Runner
Instructor:  Chena Wright
Skill level:  Beginner
Cost:  $20 plus 9 degree ruler
This is a fun and easy addition to any table in your home.  Great as a gift too.
 
Chena is also an accomplished quilter – she taught the popular Bow Tucks purse class.

Duffle Bag Class

This fun and sizeable bag is a great way to use your 2 1/2″ strips. It works up quick with minimum fuss! These bags are popular with teens, in particular.  Both girls and boys love the size and ease of use.  A great gift for the young person in your life.

 Tag Quilt Class

Playing “Tag” couldn’t be easer. With easy block piecing and raw edge appliqué you’ll be catching on quick! Customize for boys or girls. Cat soft toy pattern included.

Well, come and take one of our classes here at My Heritage Fabrics.

We have a growing schedule of classes with helpful, patient teachers that can guide you to success in a new quilting or sewing project.
