Okay I need to admit that I am hooked on Pinterest. I am trying to get my mom (Marlene) to check it out for some great ideas for her shop but with all the extra time she does NOT have I think I will try posting my new finds!!! There are so many creative people out there with so many creative ideas that I am excited to share them with you.
I ran across this darling baby quilt and being one of the many this summer to have completed our beginning quilting class found myself jumping up and down saying” I can make this, I can make this”! Even if you are an experienced quilter this quilt just screams ” Make me”. So I hope everyone enjoys this tutorial and know there will be many more to come for crafty weekends. Happy Sewing everyone!
I looked many places for a witch boot pattern to make for my mom’s store. My intentions were just to make some Halloween decor to display in the shop. I just couldn’t find anything out there and Viola before you know it…….. I somehow ended up with a pattern that has earned
my moms’ and Evelyns’, my beginning quilting teacher, approval to be deemed saleable in the store!!! Never in my life would I have thought I could do this or even wanted to for that matter. I only know the basics in sewing and refused my mom many times when I was younger to learn how to sew properly. I guess this shows what a little persistence can do and drive to see my mom’s dream succeed. So to all the new sewers out there and all the new quilters ….. You can do this. You can create anything you can imagine. As a beginner I know it can all seem overwhelming at first but by step by step and having a handle on the basics ……your creations are endless. KEEP SEWING ON ONE STITCH AT A TIME!!!!! :}

This Gathering Friends table runner used three fabrics to create a fun table runner. You will learn how to make flying geese and square-in-a-square blocks on this project.
Paper Piecing

Paper piecing is a great way to accomplish precision sewing; precise, sharp points and perfectly matched intersections. This is a great class for those wanting to learn paper piecing or advance their skills!

Spring is here and there is nothing more fun for Easter morning or Mothers Day than a fresh new apron. Come and make one for yourself or make for a friend.
