To follow up on an earlier post about quilt bindings…
If you use a separate binding, the traditional method of application gives a beautiful finish, but requires extensive handwork on the back blind stitching the binding to the quilt sandwich.
Konda of Moose Quilting has created a very nice tutorial showing how to machine finish a quilt binding. It is very helpful with many pictures for us visual types. One extra nice thing she does with her tutorials is make them printable! Must be the pattern designer in her. It is nice to print them off, even if they are long, and take them to your machine. It is almost like having Konda right there with you.
Take a look at her tutorial here–and happy binding.
