Color Selection–decisions, decisions (and a little help)

Choosing colors for a quilt can be a real challenge.  How about a little help?  Check out this Color Scheme Designer.

Ooooooo–and you thought the holidays only brought new toys for the children.

All you  have to do is select a point on the color wheel.  Give it a try.  Make it your favorite color, or the color of a fabric languishing in your stash without any friends to play with.

Now, move up and select an option:  mono, complement, triad, tetrad, analogic, accented analogic.  (Don’t worry if you don’t know what these words mean.  It makes sense when you try it.)

Wow!  Color ideas I never would have thought of!

By right clicking on the page you can print your favorite ideas and head to the fabric shop.

WARNING:  this is really too much fun and can eat up some time in your day!

Or, you can just make a quilt with ALL the colors! More fabric = Fewer decisions, maybe.
