Crafty weekend: Ornaments

Even this late in the season, we sometimes need last minute gifts.  Ornaments are a quick, inexpensive idea that is useful for almost everyone.  The nice part is that if they don’t want to use them as ornaments they can be hung on doorknobs, piled in bowls for an attactive centerpiece, made into brooches…

Here are a few ideas from our blogging friends:

Hexagon Flower Ornaments from PolkaDotPineapple (think Grandma’s Flower Garden) but wow–monochromatic gives them an entirely different look.

Birdie Ornaments give the tree a look both natural and festive. (Look for the pattern on the left side of the spoolsewing blog.)

And a origami style folded fabric ornament–as you may guess, I am very into fabric folding just now and this idea is beautiful.
